The beautiful Hotel California is located 2km along the 7km Manuel Antonio/Quepos road. Quepos and Manuel Antonio reside on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, about 3 1/2 hours drive from San Jose.

A View From Behind
Here you can see the beautiful Hotel California as it appears from the restaurant. Notice the sparkling pool (with the Hot Tub on to the left) surrounded by tropical foliage and the spectacular overlook (in the center of the hotel) which affords a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Perry The Sloth
This picture was taken during a stretch of several days when this young sloth would come down to say 'Hello!' to our guests, who affectionately nicknamed him 'Perry the Perezoso' (Perezoso = Sloth in Spanish).
In addition to sloths, there are squirrel monkeys, land iguanas, and lots of tropical birds, including beautiful hummingbirds, that frequently pass by or reside on the hotel grounds.

Breakfast Wherever You Want!
We offer delicious breakfasts cooked to order either at our poolside restaurant or in the comfort of your room. Our menu highlights fresh baked breads, scones, muffins and specialties of Costa Rica, fresh fruits and fruit juices and an American style breakfast menu laced with local specialites. Healthy and vegetarian options are available.
Poolside Lunch at the Sunset Grill
Lunch is served poolside and features a variety of salads, soups, sandwiches and 'bocas', basically snack foods of a latin variety. Our Sunset Grill pool bar features exotic tropical drinks, beer and various wines from South America. Lounge poolside and have a leisurely lunch while you wait for our local monkeys to make their daily visit.
Dinner for Two
Our dinner menu features an international fusion cuisine that focuses on fresh fish and seafood. We offer a generous vegetarian menu, as well. Asian sauces and tempuras, italian fresh pastas, Thai touches, sushi as well as our own delicious versions of 'casados' , the local simple meals of fish, beef or chicken served with our own version of ginger rice and black beans. Fresh breads baked daily, desserts that feature rich cholcolates and local fruits, and of course with every meal, the finest coffee in the world from right here in Costa Rica.

Local Tours
Hotel California can book tours with several good, local companies (we work only with well established ones), to help you get out and see the country. All of these tours come with our personal recommendations, and we suggest at least one or two tours a week to get the most out of your stay in Costa Rica. Tours last all day and can be specially catered to honeymooners.

Weddings
Hotel California would love to assist you in making your wedding memorable for you and your partner as well as your family and friends. We can organize and plan a wonderful event with your assistance! Weddings performed in Costa Rica are recognized throughout the world. Wedding documents are filed with the appropriate country's foreign embassy.
Legal services can be arranged. Expenses associated with legal services will be assessed accordingly.
Gay marriages are not legally recognized in Costa Rica. However, we can arrange a commitment ceremony and will offer wedding services to gay couples.
