How does kayaking, sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing sound to you? Dive right in or let our instructors help you get your feet wet. There are even scuba clinics in the pool if you're anxious to explore the underwater treasures. In the water you'll find a coral paradise - a 200-mile natural reef teeming with manta and eagle rays, tropical fish and even visits from humpback whales.

The shallow barrier reefs surrounding the island provide an ideal setting for snorkeling with colorful marine life. Or you can simply relax with a Jacuzzi or with an exhilarating swim in the pool. There's also plenty of action on land. Participate in aerobics, volleyball, tennis, ping pong or the daily activities program hosted by the recreation staff. Golfers can practice their game at the nearby championship 18-hole course.

A perfect way to begin the evening is with a meal at one of our specialty restaurants. Try our elegant Italian restaurant for regional cuisine or our casual, open-air restaurant for island delicacies. Follow that with the nightly entertainment and a quiet drink at the piano bar or try your luck at the island's only casino. Perhaps the perfect way to end the evening is with a walk along the moonlit beach. So many choices but don't worry, there's always tomorrow.

Scuba Diving and Snorkeling
Scuba diving in Turks and Caicos is considered to be among the best in the world. The excellent visibility in this crystal clear water, the unspoiled reefs, the spectacular vertical drops and the rainbow of marine life make this area a paradise for divers and snorkelers alike.
Provo (Providenciales) is ideal for diving with its one-mile vertical coral wall. The ocean is a beautiful mix of turquoise and blue while the reef system is 65 miles across and 200 miles long and is characterized by abrupt drop-offs and impressive mini-walls. The big drops start as shallow as 40 feet and appear to be endless. The mini-walls often range from 30 to 100 feet in depth and are covered in hard and soft corals.
Manta rays are common around Grand Turk from May through November while schools of eagle rays can be found around the waters of Provo from October to May, with sightings common all year long. Diving areas have been designated as National Parks with mooring buoys in place on most dive sites. One of these parks, the Princess Alexandra National Park, surrounds the resort.

Things to See
'The Hole' at Long Bay, is a naturally existing limestone chimney. It is over forty feet across and eighty feet deep with a salt water swimming hole at the bottom.
Provo is home to the only Conch farm in the world where you can explore the fascinating process of farming conches. These large marine snails with their beautiful pink shells take five years to grow to their adult size and are very popular on the islands. Another of the friends in the water is JoJo, a seven-foot, bottle-nosed wild dolphin who has become active with humans in the water, often following boats and greeting people.
Salt Cay is the least populated of the islands and features Bermudian-style buildings, windmills, salt sheds and a population of humpback whales through April.
North Caicos offers visitors the opportunity to watch gentle rock iguanas on Little Water Cay, home to a new nature trail program and one of 33 nature reserves found on the islands of Turks and Caicos. Some tour operators offer excursions to the North and Middle Caicos islands to visit a pink flamingo colony and to enjoy a beach barbecue.
