Nowhere on the island is there such a rich profusion of hibiscus and poinsettia. The attractions here include Calypso rafting, Coyoba River Garden and Museum. Shaw park gardens, with its exquisite grounds and spectacular view of the bay and coast, Dunns River Falls, a 600 foot cascade of water which can be climbed and Fern Gully, a three - mile roadway with numerous twists and turns through a canopy of lush forest foliage.

At nine miles you can visit the final resting place of reggae superstar the honorable Bob Marley. Runaway Bay, a short drive west from Ocho Rios, so called because slaves once used this area as an escape route from the island in canoes. Along the coast, the Seville estate is the site of Sevilla Nueva, the fist Spanish settlement in Jamaica. Runaway bay and Discovery Bay continue to development and expand with new villa resorts, hotels and restaurants.
